Accounts are optional — everything on the site works without signing in. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only the basics Google shares for sign-in (your name, email address, and profile photo) to identify your account. We never see your Google password.
Once signed in, we store only the things you explicitly save: your saved portfolios and build configurations, your watchlist, and your bookmarks. These are yours — they are not sold, rented, or shared, and they are used only to show your saved items back to you across your devices. This account data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Neon). You can delete your account at any time from your account page; deletion is immediate and removes your profile and everything saved with it.
When you subscribe, we collect your email address — that's it. We don't require a name, and we don't buy or enrich data about you.
Your email is used to send you the newsletter and occasional housekeeping notes about it. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing.
Email delivery is handled by our email service provider (Buttondown), which stores subscriber addresses on our behalf and processes them under its own privacy policy. The website is hosted on Vercel, which may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and operations.
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you from the list immediately. You can also request deletion of your data entirely by replying to any issue. If you're in the EU/EEA or a similar jurisdiction, these rights (access, rectification, erasure) apply as required by law.
The site sets no tracking cookies. If you sign in, we set a single secure, http-only session cookie so we can keep you logged in — it holds only your session, not personal data, and is cleared when you sign out. If privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics are added later, this policy will be updated first.
